Feel more in control of your emotions
If you're emotionally sensitive, you may experience emotions more frequently and intensely than those around you. Being told you're "too sensitive", "dramatic" or need to "toughen up" can leave you questioning your own feelings or trying to push them away.
This six-week online programme will help you understand why you experience emotions the way you do and, importantly, what you can do with them. Using practical Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) skills, you'll learn how to recognise and understand your emotions, reduce their intensity and respond in ways that feel more considered and in control.
What will you gain from the programme?
Over the six weeks, you'll learn how to:
-
Understand emotional sensitivity and why some people experience emotions more intensely
-
Identify emotions and understand what they're communicating
-
Recognise coping strategies that may be causing more difficulties over time
-
Use DBT skills to reduce the intensity of difficult emotions
-
Respond more effectively rather than reacting impulsively
-
Reduce your vulnerability to emotions taking control
-
Understand your personal values and how they influence healthy boundaries
